Cheadle Glass has taken home a top Independent Network customer satisfaction award, in the same year the company celebrates its 50th anniversary of trading.

The Independent Network Members’ Weekend (powered by VEKA) aims to bring all the organisation’s members together to review and reflect on the past year, while also getting together to share ideas and experiences. This year’s illustrious event was held at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth, with a ‘Best of British’ theme.

The National Awards are based on thousands of customer surveys, which are carried out by every homeowner who has made a purchase from an Independent Network business over the past 12 months, as a condition of membership; with Cheadle Glass already scooping four awards at previous ceremonies in the North West regional awards 2014-2017.

This year, however, Cheadle Glass came out top from a shortlist of six and was presented by football legend Chris ‘Kammy’ Kamara to Managing Director Pat Flowers. “Were so proud to have won this national award for the first time,” said Pat, “after previous success in the regional awards, it means a lot to us to be recognised amongst our peers in the whole UK glazing sector. Customer service excellence is a core value for the business and we acknowledge the hard work and dedication of all the loyal team at Cheadle Glass.  2018 marks our 50th Anniversary in business, so we are doubly proud to be recognised at this time.”

The company also gained nominations in the ‘Salesperson of the Year’ category for Neil Woolstencroft and Karl Minter, and ‘Fitter of the Year’ division for Alex Thoma.

Karen Lund, Head of Partner Programmes for VEKA Group said: “Congratulations to Pat, Keith, and all the team at Cheadle Glass for not just winning the award, but also celebrating 50 years of business. I can’t think of a better company to win at this year’s ‘Best of British’ themed weekend than one that has been working in the home improvements industry for half a century. Well done!”

Keith Flowers, Chairman added; “The industry continues to develop new products and trends and preferences change, but service excellence is the one constant by which business is measured year after year and we are very happy to recognised again and now nationally for our consistency in customer satisfaction”

Cheadle Glass continues its ambitious expansion plans in the glass processing division with a new Laminating plant coming on stream in July and further investment in its trade sales and partner services and further support for sub contracting in major construction projects.

With no signs of slowing down the company in its 50th year looks more nimble and spritely than ever!
